What Customers Say About Apple Wireless Pro Keyboard:

You simply cannot type fast on this keyboard, the keys are too stiff and stick somewhat. It gets dirty awfully fast also due to the white color. I've owned it since 2006 (4+ years). Not recommended.

Personally, I have no functional complaints about this keyboard. As much as I've had to eat at my desk over the 2 years I've owned one, I can tell you that it really leaves people with the wrong impression on your hygiene.I find the white surface to be very durable and washable, but short of a major disassembly, you can't clean the keyboard to anything close to pristine condition.Battery life is amazing as well. It looks nice, and I personally enjoy a full-stroke keyboard like this -- some don't, but I'm one that misses the old IBM click-styled keyboards. The main thing you must remember as an owner of this keyboard is you CANNOT use this anywhere around food. Because of the clear acrylic case, debris and crumbs are amazingly visible as they fall through the keys, and it looks very sloppy. I've only had to put fresh batteries in this 2 times in 2 years of continuous use. It sometimes but rarely needs to be switched off and on to get my Mac to recognize it, but that is more of a Mac issue than a problem with the keyboard itself.

This keyboard is great, for the most part. I suppose they may take a learning curve to get used to. Another downfall to the keyboard is that the perimeter of the keyboard below the keys is exposed with a clear plastic, so you can see all of the dust and dirt that falls into the crevices of the keys and gets collected, which looks sort of tacky. The keyboard uses 4x AA batteries. One time I spilt a cup of water all over it, and I was worried that I had fried it for good. I like the design of this keyboard better than the newer and skinnier Apple keyboards because this keyboard seems easier to type with for extended periods of time. It functions properly, and makes my desk look clean, since it has no wires. However, having used this keyboard for approximately two years now, I have been very pleased with it.I do find that my keyboard cannot last more than 5-7 days without having to be recharged, but that may be due to my sub-par rechargeable batteries (Duracell Rechargeable Batteries).

I haven't actually used the newer Apple skinnier keyboards for much longer than a few minutes of testing them at the Apple store, but just from those few minutes, I determined that those newer keyboards are harder to type with. or at least they are for me. Of course you can pull all the keys off to clean, but removing each key takes significant effort and is difficult to put back into place. The keyboard is very sturdy and durable though. However, in just a few days the keyboard went back to functioning normal.Overall, I would certainly recommend this keyboard, although I believe the only place you can buy it nowadays is through a seller on eBay.

I love my Mac, but I am sick and tired of how Apple nickels and dimes you for every little thing.Constant connection problems, cheap springs in the keyboard so that the keys don't pop back nicely, gets dirty really, really fast, and since you can't take it apart you can't clean it out easily.Because of all that these need to be replaced every year or two, and these are just too damn expensive for something that needs to be replaced that much.Sorry Apple, I like your computers but I will get my accessories elsewhere.

Nevertheless of the sharp and futuristic design of aluminum apple thin-keyboards,this full scale old-school type keyboard is still needed by MIDI composer, Photoshop editors, writers.who depends on tons of shortcuts. Personally, I use more often than some of my midi controllers' button like PLAY, RECORD, FF, FW.Battery cycle is about 3 months even if it'd turned on always.Blutooth is connected very quickly in Leopard 10.5.6.And if you install SizzlingKeys (it's freeware), you can control itunes with function keys also.I might have to say it needs to be cleaned occasionally, because of tiny gaps between transparent cover and key caps.Yes, it's annoying sometimes, but it keeps my edit environment clean both.
